Round pillow round up

I have been seeing round pillows in every store since last year. I might be a little late to the game, but I finally took the plunge and purchased one from Target. There are so many options, from the texture, the fabric and feel, the size and color, to different stores and price points. I have found a few different options that I will share below, including the one I got from Target. I only linked one color from each store, but some have multiples. Let me know if you purchased any of these.

Bedding refresh

I wanted to add some coziness and update my bedding without spending too much. So as soon as I saw these euro shams from Anthropologie, I knew they were the perfect addition. I ordered two shams and with my recently added colorful bedding, the blue color euro shams match perfectly. They are a birthday present for myself. I normally don't spend a lot of money on decor items that are not staple items, but since it was a present I figured it was worth it for the occasion. If you sign up with your email, Anthropologie will send you a discount code for your birthday, and hey we all know every little bit helps.  I have been slowly buying better quality items that will (hopefully) last longer. It's always easier to update any space by changing up smaller items like pillows, blankets, candles, or seasonal items(Halloween, fall,Christmas, etc.) Now my only problem is if I should buy a third pillow or just leave it at two? Leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Bust Head Planters

I absolutely love bust head planters. They elevate any space and have so many more uses than just being a planter. I have a ton of them inside of my house, in almost every room, each with a different purpose. This is the perfect time to find some good deals on the planters, since Spring has officially sprung, and there are more places to find them. I'll share some I bought from a few more known stores, but a few I found at thrift stores. You never know where you can find some good deals.

Gluten Free Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

If life gives you, a little past ripe, bananas make banana bread, or in my case gluten free banana chocolate chip walnut muffins. Say that 10 times quick. My dad saw the slightly more than ripe bananas sitting in our fruit basket and asked if I could make some banana bread. I decided to make muffins instead. I searched for a recipe and used this one below from Pinterest, but I decided to add some walnuts for crunch.

Girls Spring/Summer Clothes at Target 03/2023

I found the cutest girls clothes and shoes for the Spring/Summer season. I bought a few of these already (couldn't help myself) and some I have to order to get my daughters size. I absolutely love these ruffle tops for girls, they are hard to come by for girls that are not in toddler sizes anymore, and you cant go wrong with the biker shorts. They go with everything and are on sale now, definitely a staple in your daughters wardrobe. I have never seen rain boots that look like lace up boots before and thought they were so cool (does anyone say cool anymore :) ).

Hot to grow new roses from a store bought bouquet

I was happily surprised this past Valentine's Day with 4 dozen roses from my husband and kiddos. Valentine's Day is the anniversary of the hubbies and my civil wedding. I wish I took a picture of the flowers, but I was too busy living in the moment :p, and it never occurred to me that I would be needing a picture, but I will add a picture of roses so you get the idea. I absolutely love flowers, all plants really, and hated when they started to wilt. Although I would change the water and cut the ends every few days, the roses only lasted around two weeks. I was about to throw them all away when I noticed new growth on some of the stems. I decided I would try to grow some new roses/rose shrubs from the rose cuttings. I did a little reading on how to go about this, and for the most part it seems simple. I will share the steps I did so far and as the roses, hopefully, grow and flourish, I will update the post and the pictures of the growth.
